Amino Club research library
Guides to the compounds in the Amino Club peptides catalogue: what each one is, what the published research actually examines, and where two compounds that look alike diverge.
What this is for
The product pages in the Amino Club peptides catalogue tell you what is in the vial, what it was tested against and what it costs. They do not have room to explain what a compound is, where it came from, or how strong the evidence behind it actually is. That is what these pages are for.
They are written for people choosing a compound for a study rather than for people who have already chosen one. Where the evidence is thin, the pages say so. None of them contain dosing guidance or administration protocols, and none ever will — every compound listed on this site is a laboratory reference material and is covered by the research use policy.
Research areas
Eight guides, one for each group in the catalogue. Each sets out what holds the group together, how the compounds inside it differ, and which product pages they correspond to.
- Metabolic research peptides — incretins, amylin analogues, AMPK activators and lipotropics.
- Growth hormone research peptides — GHRH analogues, ghrelin secretagogues and IGF-1 factors.
- Tissue repair research peptides — angiogenic, actin-binding and anti-inflammatory sequences.
- Skin and cosmetic research peptides — copper complexes, melanocortins and signal peptides.
- Longevity research peptides — mitochondrial, telomeric, senolytic and thymic compounds.
- Cognitive and sleep research peptides — neuromodulatory and sleep-regulating sequences.
- Sexual health research peptides — melanocortin agonists and the reproductive axis.
- Bacteriostatic water and reconstitution supplies — solvents, stability and handling.
Compound guides
Fifty guides, grouped by research area. Each covers what the compound is, what the published work actually examines, and how Amino Club supplies it.
Metabolic
- Cagrilintide — an amylin analogue reaching appetite through a non-incretin receptor family.
- Mazdutide — a dual GLP-1 and glucagon agonist built on the oxyntomodulin scaffold.
- Survodutide — the other glucagon and GLP-1 dual agonist, with a liver-focused evidence base.
- AOD-9604 — the growth hormone fragment that failed its clinical endpoint and remains a useful tool.
- 5-Amino-1MQ — an NNMT inhibitor, reaching NAD+ by stopping its precursor being wasted.
- AICAR — the standard laboratory AMPK activator, and its documented limitations.
- Adipotide — a targeting peptide fused to a cell-killing sequence, not a metabolic agent.
- L-Carnitine — the carrier that moves long-chain fat into mitochondria.
Growth hormone
- CJC-1295 — a GHRH analogue substituted at four positions to resist degradation.
- Sermorelin — GRF(1-29), the shortest GHRH sequence that still activates the receptor.
- Tesamorelin — full-length GHRH shielded by a single fatty acid group.
- Ipamorelin — the most selective of the ghrelin receptor secretagogues.
- GHRP-2 — more potent than ipamorelin, and far less selective.
- Hexarelin — a secretagogue that also binds CD36, giving it a cardiac literature.
- MK-677 — an orally active non-peptide producing sustained rather than pulsatile release.
- HGH 191AA — the full somatropin sequence, which bypasses the pituitary entirely.
- IGF-1 LR3 — the growth factor itself, modified to escape its binding proteins.
- MGF — a splice variant of IGF-1, not an analogue of it.
- PEG-MGF — what pegylation buys, and what it costs.
Tissue repair
- BPC-157 — a gastric protein fragment studied for angiogenic and gut-lining signalling.
- TB-500 — the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4, studied for cell migration.
- ARA-290 — the tissue-protective face of erythropoietin, separated from the rest.
- KPV — three residues from alpha-MSH, carrying its anti-inflammatory activity.
- LL-37 — the only human cathelicidin: antimicrobial at one concentration, a signal at another.
- VIP — named for vasodilation, studied for immune regulation and circadian timing.
- Dermorphin — an amphibian opioid heptapeptide, and a reference mu-receptor agonist.
Skin and cosmetic
- GHK-Cu — a copper-binding tripeptide studied for dermal matrix signalling.
- AHK-Cu — one residue different from GHK-Cu, and a follicle literature instead of a dermal one.
- SNAP-8 — a competitive inhibitor of SNARE assembly, with a delivery problem.
- Melanotan I — selective for MC1R, the pigmentation receptor.
- Melanotan II — cyclic, non-selective, and consequently a different compound entirely.
- Glutathione — the cell principal redox buffer, and why delivering it is hard.
Longevity
- Epithalon — a four-residue bioregulator from the Russian pineal peptide programme.
- NAD+ — the cofactor at the centre of the cellular energy and sirtuin literature.
- MOTS-c — a peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA, not in the nucleus.
- SS-31 — a tetrapeptide that binds a phospholipid rather than a protein.
- FOXO4-DRI — a deliberately broken decoy that releases p53 in senescent cells.
- Thymosin Alpha-1 — a defined thymic peptide with regulatory approval behind its mechanism.
- Thymalin — a thymic preparation rather than a molecule, and what that limits.
- Pinealon — three residues, proposed to act on DNA rather than a receptor.
Cognitive and sleep
- Semax — an ACTH fragment with the hormonal activity removed and BDNF effects reported.
- Selank — anxiolytic activity without binding the benzodiazepine site.
- DSIP — named for an effect later work struggled to reproduce, and still without a receptor.
- Dihexa — a lipidised dipeptide, and an honest reading of a thin evidence base.
Sexual health and reproductive
- Kisspeptin — the peptide above GnRH, found through a genetics result.
- Gonadorelin — synthetic GnRH, whose effect reverses between pulses and plateau.
- HCG — a long-acting LH receptor agonist, where the sugars buy the duration.
- HMG — both gonadotropin arms in one vial, and the attribution problem that creates.
- PT-141 — a melanocortin agonist acting centrally rather than on vasculature.
- Oxytocin — nine residues, two fields of literature, and very different levels of confidence.
Comparisons
Where two compounds are routinely confused, or routinely chosen between, these set out what actually separates them.
- BPC-157 vs TB-500 — angiogenic signalling against actin and cell migration.
- CJC-1295 with DAC vs without DAC — a sustained elevation against a discrete pulse.
- Ipamorelin vs GHRP-2 — selectivity against potency at the same receptor.
- GHK-Cu vs AHK-Cu — one residue apart, with very different evidence bases.
- Melanotan I vs Melanotan II — MC1R-selective against pan-melanocortin.
- Semax vs Selank — noradrenergic against GABAergic, from the same programme.
- Single vs dual vs triple agonists — what each added receptor contributes, and what it costs in interpretability.
