Gonadorelin

Price range: $25.00 through $50.00

Synthetic gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), the hypothalamic decapeptide that drives pituitary LH and FSH output. Lyophilised, ≥99% by HPLC, for in-vitro laboratory research only.

SKU: N/A Category:

Gonadorelin is the synthetic form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone, the ten-residue hypothalamic peptide that sits at the top of the reproductive endocrine axis. Amino Club supplies it as a lyophilised research powder for in-vitro laboratory work.

About Gonadorelin

The sequence is pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2, identical to the decapeptide released by the mammalian hypothalamus. It acts on the GnRH receptor, a class-A G-protein-coupled receptor expressed on pituitary gonadotrope cells, and signals mainly through Gq/11, phospholipase C and intracellular calcium.

What makes gonadorelin interesting to a laboratory is that the same molecule produces opposite outcomes depending on how it arrives. Delivered in pulses, it drives luteinising hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone release; delivered continuously, it desensitises and downregulates its own receptor and output falls. Native gonadorelin is cleared within minutes, which is why longer-acting analogues exist and why the unmodified decapeptide remains the reference compound for pulse-frequency work.

What the research covers

Published in-vitro work using the native decapeptide clusters around pituitary cell culture and gonadotrope signalling: receptor binding and internalisation assays, calcium and inositol-phosphate readouts, and LH and FSH secretion measured against pulse frequency and amplitude. It is also the comparator of choice when characterising substituted analogues, and a reference ligand in GnRH-receptor expression studies.

Further reading in the Amino Club library: the sexual health and reproductive research peptides overview sets gonadorelin beside the downstream gonadotropins HCG and HMG, and beside kisspeptin-10, which acts upstream of GnRH release.

Gonadorelin specification

  • Strengths available: 2mg, 10mg
  • Presentation: vial
  • Purity: ≥99% by HPLC, identity confirmed by mass spectrometry
  • Released against: the Certificate of Analysis for its own batch

Handling Gonadorelin

Supplied lyophilised in a sealed vial. The powder is stable at ambient temperature for the short periods involved in transit, and laboratories generally store it below −18 °C, sealed and protected from light, for long-term holding. In solution the decapeptide is considerably less stable than as a dry powder, so solutions are typically prepared in small volumes, kept cold and dark, and not held indefinitely. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Certificates, delivery and terms

This batch ships with the Certificate of Analysis carrying the batch number printed on its label; how that is tested and released is set out on the lab testing page. Delivery, customs and returns are covered on the shipping page, common questions on the FAQ, and quantity pricing through bulk and wholesale. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only: not a medicine, not a supplement, not for human or veterinary use, and no dosing or administration guidance is provided — see the research use policy.
