A thymic peptide preparation from the same bioregulator programme as Epithalon, studied for the decline of immune function with age.
About Thymalin
Thymalin is a peptide preparation derived from thymus tissue, developed in the same St Petersburg bioregulator programme that produced Epithalon and Pinealon.
Its rationale is thymic involution. The thymus shrinks progressively from puberty, and the resulting decline in naive T-cell output is one of the better-documented components of immune ageing. A thymic peptide preparation is intended to act on that axis.
What the research covers
Work covers T-cell differentiation and maturation markers, lymphocyte subset distribution, and immune endpoints in ageing models. The literature overlaps substantially with that of Thymosin Alpha-1, which is a defined single sequence rather than a preparation.
That difference is the main methodological caveat: a tissue-derived preparation is not a single characterised molecule, so batch-to-batch composition is a variable in a way it is not for a synthetic peptide. The same provenance caveat applies as for the rest of this programme — much of the primary work is Russian-language and hard to appraise in translation. The longevity research peptides hub sets out the four separate hypotheses this group covers.
Thymalin specification
- Strength: 10mg
- Presentation: vial
- Purity: ≥99% by HPLC, identity confirmed by mass spectrometry
- Released against: the Certificate of Analysis for its own batch
- Reference: TY10
Handling Thymalin
Supplied lyophilised. Standard peptide practice applies: gentle reconstitution, cold sealed storage, working solutions prepared fresh.
The additional consideration is comparability. Because this is a preparation rather than a single sequence, work that will be compared across time should record the batch, and the Certificate of Analysis for that batch should be retained with the data.
Solvent options are under reconstitution supplies.

Certificates, delivery and terms
This batch ships with the Certificate of Analysis carrying the batch number printed on its label; how that is tested and released is set out on the lab testing page. Delivery, customs and returns are covered on the shipping page, common questions on the FAQ, and quantity pricing through bulk and wholesale. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only: not a medicine, not a supplement, not for human or veterinary use, and no dosing or administration guidance is provided — see the research use policy.
