Lipo-C

$40.00

Lipotropic preparation combining methionine, inositol, choline and B-vitamin components, supplied for lipid-transport research.

SKU: LC216 Category:

A lipotropic combination rather than a single compound — methyl donors and cofactors studied together for hepatic lipid handling.

About Lipo-C

Lipo-C preparations combine lipotropic agents: methionine as a methyl donor, inositol and choline as components of phospholipid synthesis, and B-vitamin cofactors, usually with carnitine. The shared rationale is hepatic lipid export rather than fat oxidation directly — choline and methionine are required for phosphatidylcholine synthesis, and phosphatidylcholine is required to package triglyceride into VLDL for export from the liver.

It is a combination, which means it is a screening instrument. An effect observed with this preparation cannot be attributed to any one component without running them separately.

What the research covers

Research draws on the methionine-choline deficient model, which is one of the standard ways to induce hepatic steatosis experimentally — the preparation is, in effect, the inverse of that intervention. Endpoints are hepatic triglyceride content, VLDL secretion and one-carbon metabolism markers such as homocysteine.

For mechanistic work the components are better studied individually; L-Carnitine is listed separately for that reason. The metabolic research peptides hub sets out how this group divides.

Handling Lipo-C

A multi-component preparation inherits the least stable component’s requirements. The B-vitamin components are light-sensitive, which the amino acid and inositol components are not, so the preparation as a whole should be protected from light.

Store cold and sealed, protect from light, and prepare working solutions fresh.

Solvent options are under reconstitution supplies.

Certificates, delivery and terms

This batch ships with the Certificate of Analysis carrying the batch number printed on its label; how that is tested and released is set out on the lab testing page. Delivery, customs and returns are covered on the shipping page, common questions on the FAQ, and quantity pricing through bulk and wholesale. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only: not a medicine, not a supplement, not for human or veterinary use, and no dosing or administration guidance is provided — see the research use policy.
